Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous) organized Students\u2019 Week \u2013 2026 with great enthusiasm to promote awareness, cleanliness, academic enrichment, and scientific temperament among students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The programmes of Day 1 and Day 2 were conducted successfully with active participation from students and faculty members.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 1 \u2013 Thursday (01.01.2026)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Students\u2019 Week began with a Cleanliness Drive organized by the NSS units from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The students actively participated in cleaning the campus and its surroundings, spreading awareness about hygiene, cleanliness, and social responsibility. The programme aimed to instill civic sense and environmental consciousness among students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After the drive, an interactive session was held from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm, where students shared their experiences and discussed the importance of cleanliness in daily life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 2 \u2013 Friday (02.01.2026)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day, a lecture on \u201cStudents\u2019 Credit Card (SCC) Awareness Camp\u201d was conducted from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The session was delivered by Dr. Chandra Sankar Hazari, Nodal Officer, SCC, and Prof. Purna Chandra Sahoo, Help-desk Officer, SCC. They explained the objectives, benefits, eligibility criteria, and application process of the Students\u2019 Credit Card scheme.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This was followed by an interactive session from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm, where students asked questions and clarified their doubts regarding financial assistance for higher education.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 3 \u2013 Saturday (03.01.2026)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The third day featured an informative talk on \u201cBank-related matters of SCC\u201d from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm by Dr. Chandra Sankar Hazari. The session focused on banking procedures, loan repayment, and documentation related to the Students\u2019 Credit Card.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After the lecture, a Quiz Competition was organized from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, coordinated by Prof. Purna Chandra Sahoo, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit. Students participated enthusiastically, making the session both educational and enjoyable.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 4 \u2013 Sunday (04.01.2026)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On the fourth day, an online seminar on \u201cChemistry and Nanotechnology for All\u201d was conducted from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm by Dr. Subhankar Sardar, IQAC Coordinator and Head, Department of Chemistry. The seminar highlighted the role of chemistry and nanotechnology in everyday life and modern scientific advancements.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The programme concluded with an interactive session from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm, during which students actively engaged with the speaker and gained deeper insights into the topic.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 5 \u2013 Monday (05.01.2026)\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The fifth day of Students\u2019 Week, 2026 was observed with a focus on physical and mental well-being through an NSS programme titled \u201cEffects of Yoga in the Modern Society\u201d, organized by the Department of Physical Education, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous). The programme was conducted from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The session highlighted the relevance of yoga in contemporary life, particularly in managing stress, improving physical fitness, and maintaining mental balance. The speakers explained how regular yoga practice contributes to overall health and productivity, especially among students facing academic and social pressures. Practical aspects and the scientific benefits of yoga were also discussed, creating awareness about adopting a healthy lifestyle.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 6 \u2013 Tuesday (06.01.2026)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On the sixth day, an Awareness Programme on \u201cWest Bengal Government Scholarship for Students\u201d was organized from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The session was conducted by Prof. Purna Chandra Sahoo, Help-desk Officer, Students\u2019 Credit Card (SCC).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The programme aimed to inform students about various government scholarship schemes available in West Bengal, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and important timelines. Emphasis was placed on financial assistance opportunities that support higher education, especially for economically disadvantaged students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The session was followed by an interactive segment from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm, where students raised queries regarding documentation, online application processes, and common issues faced during scholarship applications. The programme proved highly beneficial in enhancing students\u2019 awareness of financial support mechanisms.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The seventh day of Students\u2019 Week was dedicated to career guidance and future planning through two seminar sessions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The first seminar, titled \u201cExplore Your Future\u201d, was conducted from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm by Prof. Purna Chandra Sahoo, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit. The session focused on career counselling, self-assessment, goal setting, and informed decision-making. Students were encouraged to identify their strengths and interests while planning academic and professional pathways.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The second seminar, held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, was on \u201cNew Age Careers in Sports\u201d, delivered by Dr. Chandra Sankar Hazari, Nodal Officer, SCC. The speaker discussed emerging career opportunities in sports beyond traditional roles, including sports management, sports science, fitness training, and sports analytics. The session inspired students to consider diverse and unconventional career options.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Both sessions generated active student engagement and provided valuable guidance for future career planning.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 8 \u2013 Thursday (08.01.2026)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The final day of Students\u2019 Week 2026 featured two educational and awareness-oriented programmes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The day began with a Visit to the Central Library and Museum from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, guided by Sri Amit Kumar Das, Librarian, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous). Students were introduced to the library resources, reference sections, digital facilities, and the significance of the museum in preserving academic and cultural heritage. The visit helped students understand the importance of libraries in academic growth and research.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This was followed by an Environment Awareness Programme from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, jointly organized by the NSS Units and IQAC. The programme emphasized environmental conservation, sustainable practices, and the role of students in protecting natural resources. Discussions focused on environmental challenges and the need for collective responsibility toward a sustainable future.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The programme concluded on a positive note, reinforcing social responsibility, environmental consciousness, and academic enrichment among students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
