The programme “DISHA-2026: Gateway to Higher Education, Career Opportunities and Professional Development” was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Career Counseling & Placement Cell, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous) on 18 June 2026 at the Seminar Hall of the college. The programme aimed to guide students regarding higher education, career planning, and professional development. The resource person was Prof. (Dr.) Sudhan Majhi, Professor of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He delivered an informative and inspiring lecture on academic excellence, career opportunities, and skill development. A total of 170 school students and 18 school teachers from different schools of Dantan participated in the programme. The students actively interacted with the speaker and clarified their doubts regarding future career prospects. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Giridhari Panda. It was convened by Dr. Subhankar Sardar, IQAC Coordinator, and organized by Dr. Uday Chatterjee, Convener of the Career Counseling & Placement Cell. The event was highly successful and beneficial for all participants. It concluded with a vote of thanks and encouragement for students to pursue their educational and professional goals.
