An ‘International Webinar on Current Trends in Chemical Sciences (CTCS-2025)’ was successfully organized by the Department of Chemistry, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous) in collaboration with the Departments of Physics, Mathematics, and IQAC, BCD on 19th December, 2025 at 5:00 PM (IST) through the Google Meet platform. The webinar was convened by Dr. Subhankar Sardar, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry and IQAC Co-Ordinator, whose dedicated planning, coordination, and effective execution ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. The webinar was organized under the able guidance and encouragement of the Chief Patron, Prof. (Dr.) Giridhari Panda, Principal, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous), whose constant support and motivation played a vital role in the successful organization of the event, and the President, Prof. (Dr.) Debabrata Mitra, Chairperson, Governing Body, BCD, whose vision and leadership provided strong institutional support. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of 134 participants, including 102 teachers and 32 students from various institutions. The webinar featured two distinguished resource persons: Dr. Chanchal Chakraborty, Assistant Professor, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, who delivered an insightful lecture on “Utilizations of Redox-Active Polymers for Sustainable Energy: From Energy-Saving Smart Windows to Indicative Energy Storage”, and Dr. Debmalya Ray, Assistant Professor, Monmouth University, USA, who presented an intellectually stimulating talk on “Ab-initio Modeling of Materials for Photovoltaics and Single-Molecule Magnet Applications”. The sessions were highly informative and interactive, significantly enriching the academic understanding of the participants and contributing to the overall success of the webinar.
