The first day of the two-day Poster Presentation and Discussion on Interdisciplinary Sciences 2026 (PPDIS 2026), Programme-II, organized by the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Nutrition and Zoology in collaboration with IQAC, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous), was held on 2nd September 2026 at 10:30 a.m. on the 1st floor of the Science Building. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Tarun Tapas Mukherjee, Associate Professor, Department of English and Member, Governing Body, Bhatter College, in the presence of Prof. Aurobinda Paul, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy; Dr. Pranab Barman, Associate Professor and Head, Department of History; Dr. Prafulla Kumar Das, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Political Science, Finance Officer and Coordinator, NIRF Committee; and Dr. Sanatan Das, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Sanskrit and Deputy Controller of Examinations.
Dr. Pranab Barman highlighted the relevance of interdisciplinary approaches in understanding contemporary academic and scientific challenges and emphasized the significance of bringing together diverse disciplines for a broader and more integrated understanding of knowledge. Dr. Sanatan Das spoke on the importance of the programme in promoting interdisciplinary learning, academic interaction and the exchange of ideas among students and teachers. A total of 122 students participated in the programme, demonstrating significant enthusiasm and academic engagement. On the first day, 32 posters were presented by the participants, covering diverse themes related to interdisciplinary sciences, followed by discussions and academic interactions. The programme provided students with an opportunity to develop their scientific communication, presentation and analytical skills while encouraging collaborative and interdisciplinary learning.
Day 2 : 03.09.2026
The second day of the two-day Poster Presentation and Discussion on Interdisciplinary Sciences 2026 (PPDIS 2026), Programme-II, organized by the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Nutrition and Zoology in collaboration with IQAC, Bhatter College, Dantan (Autonomous), was held on 3rd September 2026 at 10:30 a.m. on the 1st floor of the Science Building.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Giridhari Panda, who addressed the participants and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary learning and research in developing a comprehensive understanding of contemporary scientific and academic issues. The Principal emphasized the value of bringing together knowledge and perspectives from different disciplines and encouraged the students to actively engage in such academic activities. The second day witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, with a total of 134 students attending the programme. A total of 46 posters were presented on the day, covering diverse topics related to interdisciplinary sciences. The poster presentations were followed by academic discussions and interactions, providing the participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas, improve their presentation skills and develop a broader interdisciplinary perspective. The active participation of students and the quality of the poster presentations contributed significantly to the academic objectives of PPDIS 2026.
