Background and Foundation:
The Department of Chemistry was established in 2006 and Honours is introduced in 2015 to start courses in higher studies in the subject for the students of Dantan and its adjoining areas.

Laboratory Facility: The Bhatter College, Dantan has established a good Chemistry Laboratory for practical works and experiments. All the necessary instruments for practical classes are present, e.g. Potentiometer, pH meter, Conductometer, Polarimeter, Digital Balance, Chemical Balance, Melting point apparatus, Mechanical Shaker, Fume chamber, Hot water bath etc. It has a very good computer laboratory with advanced configurations and software. It has a Departmental Library for students along with the College Central library.
