Department of Economics

Background and Foundation:

The Department of Economics was established in 1963 and Honours in Economics was introduced in 1990. The department tries to enlighten students about the economic affairs of the country and the world and teaches them how to participate in the development of the country.

Highlights

• It has a good collection of books (1048 in number) in the Central Library and 167 books in the Departmental Library.
• The department regularly organizes seminars, workshops.
