Background and Foundation:
The Department of Political Science was started with the inauguration of the college in 1963. Since then the Department has come a long way there by producing a large no. of students and scholars engaged in various sectors. Many distinguished teachers served the department and many more students are well-placed in different spheres of the society.
Highlights
- It has a good collection of books (about 1400) in the Central Library and in the Departmental Library.
- The department regularly organizes seminars, workshops, Mock Parliament programmes.
- Departmental results of last three consecutive years for honours students.
